Celebrating 7 Years!

After a brutal winter with one too many snow days and bitterly cold temperatures, many people across the country have welcomed this April with open arms and a giant sigh of relief. At Amicus Creative Media, we always celebrate this month. Seven years ago, we opened our doors, vowing to create effective attorney websites and today we can proudly say that we’ve done just that, helping over 750 law firms build a powerful online presence. While we certainly weren’t the first to build legal sites, we were the first to build everything from our streamlined development process to our comprehensive content management system and our approach to unparalled white glove service with one main goal in mind - to make online marketing more efficient for the firms we serve.

As we reflect on the past few years, we’re so very grateful to all of the clients, colleagues and partners who have helped us spread the word and show the legal industry how website development should be done. And while we’re proud of the work we’ve done, and more importantly what our clients have accomplished, we will never be the type of company that rest on its laurels. In the months ahead, you can be sure that we will continue to add to our extensive content library, further enhance our interactive site tools and develop even more resources to help attorneys take their practices to new heights. Here’s to another wonderful 7 years!

Mobile vs. Responsive Design: What it means for your law firm’s website?

You can’t go to a restaurant, a local sporting event, the airport or a business meeting without being surrounded by people using their smart phones to surf the web and check email on the go. With the number of cell phone-owning Americans who surf the web from their mobile devices doubling since 2009, it's no surprise that the need to have a website that works well for mobile is no longer an option for law firms; it’s a necessity. If you have considered making your site “mobile-friendly”, you've likely encountered two different options for doing so: a mobile website or responsive design. In this post, we'll explore how these options differ so you can make the best decision when it comes to marketing your firm on the web.

Guest Blogging 2.0

For years, guest blogging was promoted as a way to get inbound links to your site, increasing visibility with the blog’s readers and also with the search engines. If you have a website, you’ve probably been contacted by a professional (in all likelihood, an SEO consultant acting on behalf of the professional) offering to share his or her expertise on your blog; they promise a high-quality, original post for absolutely nothing. What’s the catch you ask?
