What do you do at Amicus Creative?
I work with our design team to develop concepts for our clients’ websites and create designs for company marketing and promotional materials.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Getting a design that reflects the firm’s vision and resonates with their target audience; it's a great feeling to know that you brought a client’s concepts to life.
How did you get into web-design/marketing?
I've been dabbling in design since before I started college, but never considered it as a career choice until I took several design courses during my first semester as a fine arts major. I switched to digital art and design and haven't looked back.
What did you study in school?
I majored in fine arts and digital art & design.
What was the coolest/worst job you ever had (excluding your time at ACM which we know is the coolest!)?
The coolest job I had before I joined Amicus Creative was working in a photography studio that primarily took photos of schools and camps. I was the one erasing lewd gestures from class photos and touching up blemishes on senior photos. It's a challenge to make sure the fixes are seamless with the photograph.
The worst job I had was working a call center at the college that I attended. It was really difficult asking for donations when the person you're calling is still paying off thousands of dollars in school loans.
If you could meet any celebrity dead (or alive) who would it be?
I'd like to go hunting with Theodore Roosevelt while he tells me tales of his world adventures.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what five items would you want with you??
Sunglasses, a tent, lighter or matches, a multi-tool and boat to leave when I'm ready to get out of there.
